CANCELED: Healing in Nature for Individuals and Communities: Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Tu b’Shevat
January 18, 2022 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
CANCELED
CANCELED due to Swarthmore College policy updates in response to current local and national surges in COVID-19 cases. See the complete statement from Swarthmore College here.
Please join us for an evening of healing, growth, and service in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. day and Tu b’Shevat. All community members are invited to join us for this special event which is co-sponsored by the Scott Arboretum and the Interfaith Center of Swarthmore College. This is a family friendly event and children of all ages are welcome! At 4 pm we will gather in the Cherry Border for welcoming remarks and then participate in a creative gratitude art exercise which will become a temporary art installation. We will then celebrate the rebirth of nature by taking a winter time tour which will include specimens on the grounds of the Black Cultural Center. Individually wrapped snacks in honor of Tu b’Shevat will also be provided.
